"The Kentones Showband played at the Borderland in Muff Co Donegal.The Tophat in Portstewart in Co Derry/Londonderry and The Arcedia Portrush Co Antrim (see pic on page 2).These are just a few of the venues that they played across the country.
The dance halls were cold and the band members had to wear extra clothing like pyjamas under their suits to keep warm.When the dance hall got hot they would go to the Gents and remove the pyjamas or whatever extra clothing. "
