Happy New Year all. Just thought I'd report that some of the Sterling Showband married and settled in the Highlands of Scotland after being resident band at Strathpeffer Pavilion 1967 to 1969. And 3 of them, Joe Donaldson, Jim Evans and Freddie McKnight, got together with local musicians and played for a great dance at the Pavilion on 17 December. It was great to see them back - not for the first time (nor for the last time, we hope!) Thank you very much, guys!

I am a massive fan of New Blues, trying to find out about Nora Larkin from Ballinasloe who sang with the band for a short time during the summer of 1975, prior to Carol joining the band.Any imfo would be really appreciated.

I am trying to get in touch with a gentleman that used to manage our band in the mid 70's. We were a band called "Scope" from Longford and we used to play quite a bit around Enfield, Johnstownbridge, Carbery, Derrinturn, Osberstown House near Naas, Dowlings, Prosperus etc. Brian O'Donohue used to get us the gigs in this part of the country. He was a hairdresser in Enfield, Co. Meath at the time. Does anybody have any contact details for him, as we would like to get in touch with him.

Hi,
I remember Davy Laird very well. I went out with Colm Callaghan in the 60's and was very sad to learn he is no longer with us (RIP). Thanks for the fantastic memories guys!
